Diventerà quasi una persecuzione la pioggia di premi e candidature da qui alla notte degli Oscar. Ma i Golden Globes, che verranno assegnati il 15 gennaio 2012, sono sicuramente tra quelli che suscitano più interesse (ricordiamo che sono i premi della Hollywood Foreign Press Association).
Le nomination della 69esima edizione sono state presentate da Gerarg Butler, Woody Harrelson, Rashida Jones e Sofia Vergara. La premiazione sarà invece condotta anche in questa edizione, dopo le polemiche della scorsa, da Ricky Gervais.
Tra i film con il maggior numero di nominations ecco: The Artist (6), The Descendants (5), The Help (4), Le Idi di Marzo (4), Midnight in Paris (4), Moneyball (4) e Hugo Cabret (3).
